What is the responsibility of Board Admin aka "The Enforcer"Anti-Spam, Slam & Ad Enforcement PolicyTo monitor all the Tx-Outdoors Message Boards and Chat Rooms for the following: (Delete as deemed necessary.)
The rules were established for the above mentioned pages and there is no known reason at this time to alter the original decision. No 'free advertising' (also known as spam) will be allowed. Therefore the 'Classifies Ad Section' was created for those wishing to market their products and services (i.e. puppies, supplies, tools of the trade, etc.) as long as it is not for a commercial operation and is related to the topics of the pages. If anyone is to benefit from the traffic these pages generate, it is only fair that they must contribute something in return. However, this is a gray area and the final decision will ultimately be that of Tx-Outdoors and carried out via the Enforcer . . . For example, a board user that regularly helps answer the questions and offers legitimate feedback to the board, posts a message promoting his own personal upcoming litter of pups, or perhaps is recommending a site for information purposes - is not likely to get deleted. Where as a total stranger coming in to the board cold and never saying so much as hello or kiss mine too, and post a message trying to sell his snake oil, well . . . See Ya! Our Message Board visitors do not need to be overwhelmed or bothered by having to wade through unrelated promotional clutter just to find a message that the pertains to the subject at hand. It also makes the pages load slower, so please help keep the message boards free from these unwanted type messages by not responding to them. In all fairness, Tx-Outdoors has several alternative methods to allow it's visitors a way to promote their products or services. Many hours have been donated to this site to create and monitor the 'free' Links and Classified Ads pages and there is also a very affordable Marketing Program available to assist in promoting ones commercial goods and services across the entire Tx-Outdoors Web Site. | Marketing / Banner Ads | Links Pages | Classified Ads | All in all, this is a very touchy situation to deal with from the management standpoint. That's why Tx-O has me around . . . And last but no least, TX-Outdoors, reserves the right to refuse access to anyone, for any reason. Thanks for understanding . . . PS. There are times when messages are inadvertently deleted or may get lost due to a server malfunction. If you feel your message has been mistakenly deleted, please bring it to the attention of the board's moderator. |
